A Studio is Born
For several years, Matthew & Holly Reese had been looking for a place that could serve both as a family home and as a functional music studio. While their rented home in Katzweiler served well, over several years Matthew’s list of students had grown considerably, and it was no longer practical for him to continue teaching students in the family dining room.
After nearly five years and several near misses, they finally found a beautiful property nestled atop the hills overlooking Thaleischweiler-Froschen. There was ample space both for their family, and for Matthew’s teaching studio, musical instrument workshop, a parent’s area, and even a chess nook!
The Reese moved themselves in March 2023, and began the process of turning the house into their home, and into Musikstudio Soli Deo Gloria. The Reeses were blessed to have the help of several friends and students who volunteered to help. This made the process so much easier, particularly for the large and heavy instruments.
